I started my career, part-time in Network Marketing with Amway in 1992. From 1992 to 1997, my wife Richelle and I worked 3-4 nights a week in our business. We attained a higher level than most people, but our best month was still only around $1,200 and we spent $1,000 on products and a major convention. We attained the level of 6,000 in Amway and then began what I call the “slow-fade”. We had good intentions of getting back to the Amway business at some point, because I thought it was the best company out there. reality was, I never looked at another company.

The Amway “slow-fade” years lasted from 1997 to 2002. Amway changed their name to Quixtar in 1999. We bought products and training materials and attended meetings but we did not actively build the business.

Then in late 2002, I was doing some research online and found a Former Amway (Quixtar) Diamond named Bo Short who had resigned his Quixtar income in protest over tools and training business. Amway diamonds reportedly made up to 80%+ of their income from the training systems (WWDB was ours), while only a small portion of their income comes from the movement of products through the Amway plan.

What really made Bo Short stand out was that he had launched his own Network Marketing company called Passport.

Shortly thereafter, I resigned from Quixtar and began building a Passport business. Within 6 months I was the top recruiter, team builder and earner in the company.

Eighteen months into successfully building Passport, (I personally sponsored over 100 people, many more than I ever sponsored in 10 years with Amway) Bo Short asked me to come on board and help lead the company as President. I was honored to do so and we had another 12 months of consistent growth and profit.

In November of 2005, Bo and I began to discuss some specific additions to Passport that would help take the company to the next level. We began looking at Liquid Nutritional products and Energy Drinks as well as adding some additional depth and global bonus pool money to the pay plan. it was then that we heard what was happening at Univera (then called Oasis). Some leaders that Bo had known from his previous business were involved at Univera and the company appeared to well positioned for tremendous growth.

We joined Univera on December 1st and 10 days later, I qualified as a Platinum Associate (a ranking that might be best compared to the Emerald Rank in Amway). I was the fastest in the 10 year history of Univera to qualify at that rank. Business was booming.

Sadly, eighteen months into building Univera, the company had a major implosion. Bonus checks were not being sent, products were months late, for months, people would have to wait hours to speak to customer service. It was sad, because they appeared to have everything in order and then because of no fault of the associates, incomes dropped by up to 60%.

About that time, I took a consulting position with a Network Marketing trainer, helping him better position his business on the Internet while learning the inside scoop about the “Generic” Network Marketing training industry. Six months into working with Todd Falcone, I went to a large event in Dallas, TX and met the top leader of another Network Marketing company that appeared to have all of their ducks in a row.

This time, Bo and I chose to team up and we qualified at the Diamond Level in our 5th month, another record. At the company convention that year, we won major awards:

Top Team Builder
Top Recruiter
Fastest To Diamond

I am not able to comment about the company other than to say that we did not stay. We had our reasons for leaving and they are not the reasons/rumors that were being spread by others. We resigned on October 27th, 2008, no we were not “kicked out”.

Shortly after deciding to listen to what else is out there, we got a call from EIRO Research.

EIRO Research was looking for founding associates/partners and we connected right away with the founders.

Since joining EIRO, we have over 5,000 rank advancements, helped 22 people achieve BMW’s in the Winner’s Circle luxury car program (EIROdrive) and grew by 650% in the first 11 months. EIRO officially launched on October 10th, 2009 at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Dallas, Texas.

Here is a breakdown of my time in Network Marketing:

Amway/Quixtar: December 1991 to December 2002

Passport LLC: December 2002 to December 2005
# 1 Earner, Team Builder and Recruiter

Univera: December 2005 to January 2008
Fastest in company history to the Platinum level.

Company X: January 2008 to October 2008
Fastest in the company history to the Diamond level. # 1 Team Builder, # 1 Recruiter

EIRO Research: November 2008 to present
Founding Partner
